Secury360 won the Innovative Achievement Award at the Detektor International Awards 2023, presented at a festive event in Stockholm on Oct. 24. The awards ceremony took place as part of the Sectech security exhibition.

First presented in 2000, the Detektor International Awards are among the most renowned awards in the security industry, recognizing outstanding achievements in innovation and usability. The award winners were chosen from four categories: Alarm & Detection, ID & Access Control, Video Surveillance and IoT, by a jury consisting of seven members of the editorial board of Detektor magazine, including chairman Åke Norrby and editors from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, England and Taiwan. In the Alarm & Detection category, first prize went to Optex from Japan and Asia for their intelligent lidar technology detector Redscan Mini-Pro.

The Innovative Achievement Award 2023 was shared between the S360 Box from Secury360 (Belgium) and Early Action from Consilium Safety (Sweden).

The S360 Box, developed by Belgian company Secury360, acts as an alarm system for existing camera systems. Camera systems connected to the S360 Box feature AI functionality for proactive perimeter detection, video surveillance and alarm event filtering via a cloud service, where all updates are distributed to the systems. A partner portal allows dealers/installers to manage everything remotely.

The judges' motivation reads:

"The S360 Box makes existing security camera systems intelligent and ready for proactive monitoring and perimeter detection, while filtering false alarms. It is an impressive achievement and a powerful response to the growing market need for AI technology solutions."

Frederick Jacobs, CEO of Secury360, was also invited to join the panel on perimeter security during Sectech. The main focus was on remote monitoring and updates. It's not enough to install a video surveillance system; what happens next? In many cases, installers often have to come back for calibrations and updates, which is out of date. Cloud solutions, as we see in products such as our television boxes, Tesla vehicles and cell phones, are becoming increasingly important because of their convenience. Users always have the latest version of their product without having to make appointments. In the security industry, there is currently a shortage in this area, but with Secury360, we are striving for change. Thanks to our S360 Box, users can always receive the latest update to their security system without the need for a technician to visit, saving both customers and installers a lot of time.
